Earring Stand - Another Look Into This Jewelry Aid

You arrive home from a party. You’ve had more than enough to drink and as you flop down on the bed, your earrings fly off and you wish you had an earring stand. You’re too tired and too drunk to worry about the trinkets now and within minutes you’re sleeping.

An earring stand is a stand to place earrings on. Many women have one – many others don’t. The morning rolls around and you literally roll out of bed. On your hands and knees you crawl to the bathroom where you shower and get ready for the day. Back in your room, you search for those diamond earrings that John gave you last Christmas. You were wearing them last night, but they’ve disappeared. Then you remember - they fell from your ears. Well, there is no set shape or size for one, some are in the shape of a tree, enabling you to hang your earrings from the “branches” others resemble wind chimes and actually do move in the wind and still others may be a figurine and one places her earrings on the figurine’s out-stretched arms. Sometimes a stand is called a jewelry organizer and may have various pockets in which you place your unused jewelry.
 
The point of an earring stand is obvious – to stop women (or men) from losing their expensive trinkets. Indeed, an earring stand is similar to that of a key chain and therefore an important part of the household. The stand is still not a well used article in a women’s home. Most women continue to use a jewelry box as they feel safe knowing their jewelry is not exposed. I suppose the next question to ask is, what kind of women would use an earring stand? I would assume women that wear earrings and other jewelry everyday. Women in the corporate field would probably consistently wear earrings and other jewelry all day long and therefore need a stand in their homes. Wealthy female politicians or Heads of State would more than likely have more than one earring stand as well as a even a portable one, after all heaven forbid these female powerhouses wearing the same jewelry everyday.
